ProDon:Creating an access group
| Creating an access group |
Introduction
It is possible to create access groups, as this prevents having to reconfigure all security settings and permissions each time a new user is added.
Adding an access group
To create an access group, go to User Management ("Configuration" menu, then "Users").
Click the "
" button to create a new user.
Enter the username (in this case, the name of the group, for example: User with privileges).
Enter the full name.
Check the "Group" box.
You can also check the "Allow redefining access for users in this group" box if you need to modify specific permissions for certain users within the group.
Security
This section allows you to define the permissions and security settings for the user group.
To search for a specific security setting, enter a keyword in the search bar located above the "Security" field.
Select the security item (the line will turn blue when selected) and set the appropriate access for the user.
Once the line for which access needs to be granted is selected, press the keys "A", "E", "D", "V", or the spacebar to assign the desired permissions. Refer to the legend at the bottom of the window.
If all permissions are required for that security item, press the spacebar on your keyboard.
If the access is either Yes or No, press "Y" or "N" on your keyboard.
