Upgrade: Protech

Introduction

Protech is a software suite required to perform updates and backups for Prodon, Proloc, and Prolys.

A manual update can be easily performed by following these steps.

NOTE: This process does not close Prodon/Proloc/Prolys on any workstations using it.

Manual Protech Update

Locate the Prodon/Proloc/Prolys folder

From the software's home page, click on the "Help" menu, then select "Open application folder".

Download the Protech update

Click on the following link to download Protech: https://www.logilys.com/maj/prodon/ProTech_1.9.1.9.zip

Unzip the Protech files

Unzip the ZIP file directly into the base folder of the application (e.g., "...\Prodon, \Proloc or \Prolys).

CAUTION: Do not extract to the "BIN" folder (e.g., "...\Prodon\Bin"). Be careful not to extract to a new folder created by default during extraction (e.g., "...\Prodon\ProTech_1.9.1.9").

Replace existing files

Accept the replacement of files; the new Protech files will replace the old ones.

CAUTION: If you do not receive the window requesting file replacement during extraction, you have not selected the base folder.

Restart Software

Close and reopen Prodon/Proloc/Prolys to apply the update.

Important: If you are unable to unzip the ZIP file into the application folder, contact your IT department for assistance.
